Description

The LeafCares Arable Starter Package is for growers and advisors who want to start leaf tissue analysis but do not yet have an AgroCares scanner, sample tray and licence. It gives you every tool you need to diagnose nutrient deficiencies in wheat, corn, canola and soybean in the field.

This one-year package includes

  • 20 validation leaf samples that integrate your specific varieties or field conditions into our crop database

Crops

Wheat, corn, canola and soybean; potato and sugarcane coming soon. If your crop is not listed, contact us to check whether we are already working on it.

Parameters and ratios

Nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and sulphur (in %); manganese, copper and zinc (in ppm); boron coming soon. Results are set against crop- and country-specific thresholds (high, optimal, low). Ratios N/S, N/K, P/S, P/Zn, K/Mg and K/Mn are compared with target values.

Frequently asked questions

Why are validation leaf samples included?

The 20 validation samples integrate your specific varieties or field conditions into the AgroCares crop database, improving the fit of the analysis for your situation.

Why do I need a special sample tray?

Leaf tissue is thin (under 2 mm), so infrared light would pass through the sample and read the surface below. The LeafCares tray is designed so that only the leaves are measured.

What happens after the first year?
