Database

In-house built global soil database

To generate analysis results, the Lab-in-a-Box solution utilises the AgroCares Global Soil Database, which currently comprises more than 50,000 unique soil samples collected from more than 40 countries worldwide. These samples have been collected following strict, standardised procedures to ensure consistent quality.

In cooperation with our partners worldwide, AgroCares continuously enters new markets and adds soil samples from uncalibrated territories.

Frequently asked questions

The Lab-in-a-Box is readily available in all calibrated countries. Learn more about calibration and the calibrated areas.

The Lab-in-a-Box consists of one-off hardware and training costs and a recurring annual licence and service fee. The costs for the hardware depend on the required capacity. For more details on the pricing please get in touch with our commercial team via info@agrocares.com.

Due to the nature of dry chemistry very few consumables are required. The Lab-in-a-Box uses sample tubes, containers, dust cloths, filters, perforated foil and desiccants as main consumables.

AgroCares uses the personal data we receive from our customers for the following purposes:

  • Provide the most effective and fast support in case any issues or questions occur.
  • Provide location-based services to our customers.
  • AgroCares research purposes with the aim to enhance the quality of the database and improve the overall accuracy.
  • Carrying out contractual obligations based on the agreements with our customers and partners.

The warranty of the analytical and processing equipment is a maximum of 1 year and bound and limited to the terms and conditions set by the original manufacturer of the equipment. Damage due to malpractice, misuse of the equipment or natural disasters is not covered by the warranty. For more information please contact us at info@agrocares.com.

We suggest 2 operators: one handling soil preparation and one in charge of soil analysis. The Lab-in-a-Box operators do not have to be trained lab personnel; it is required to understand basic English and to be able to work with computers. AgroCares staff provide an extensive 4 – 5 day training during the installation. We also suggest that personnel have a background in agriculture and that an experienced agronomist is connected to the lab to handle technical questions.
