Who are we?

ClearDetections is a small private enterprise focused on delivering revolutionary plant disease Diagnostic tools to our clients Worldwide. We develop and produce Real-Time PCR Diagnostic kits for relevant plant pests and we work closely together with Wageningen University, Plant Health authorities and reference labs, to ensure top quality personalized products and services that responds to stakeholders needs.

ClearDetections is part of the HLB Group; a fast growing group of companies mainly situated in the Netherlands.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, well organized and accurate molecular research technician. You can work independently within a small team, performing tasks in diverse areas as production & sales and research & development projects.

You will:

  • Work on production and the validation of Real-Time PCR assays and DNA extraction kits.
  • Ship our products to our customers worldwide.
  • Provide customers with technical support.
  • Be participant in challenging R&D projects concerning product development & product optimization and international projects (within the Group and outside)
  • Take care of the laboratory equipment, including low-level maintenance.
  • Conduct optimization of SOPs according to ISO9001:2015 standards. (and ISO 17025)
  • Document lab results and write reports (in English).

Profile:

  • BSc degree in molecular, biomedical, biochemical or biotechnological orientation and affinity with phytopathology.
  • Experience with molecular biological techniques (such as (q)PCR, DNA extraction, cloning, (pre)-sequencing).
  • Strong expertise in development, validation and demonstration of DNA-extraction and Real-Time PCR-based assays is a plus.
  • Affinity with administration tasks associated with production & sales.
  • Excellent experimental and organization skills.
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken). German, Spanish and/or Dutch is a plus.
